Last Day in CS

I could not have asked for a better last day in College Station, especially after such a busy monday of not interacting with anyone.  It was such a blessing.  I started off by getting some packing things done, but got a text for Tyler saying he wanted to go to lunch! I thought he was still in school but this is literally his last week of high school and he only has one final left.  Tyler is my best friend back home, and I am so excited about him coming to ACU next fall.

The fact that I wont be seeing him any this summer is made sort of ok by knowing he is going to my college.  He is one awesome guy, and our personalities connect way to well.  I have definitely spent some of the best times of my life with him and I love him to death.  He will be leaving for Spain probably before I get back from the Israel trip, and I will be leaving for Brazil before he gets back, so today was our day.  P.S. I will be missing his graduation and his party because of my trip.  When I came over we ended up just playing ping pong like we used to and messing around.

And yes, we were wearing our Nanjing University shirts.
We went to eat at the mall, and then went shopping for last minute things at Target where I ran into Laura Acuff doing the same thing.  Then when we were checking out I saw Matt Svach (Aaron's best friend from high school, a really cool guy who I have gotten to hang out with some) on his first day of work at Target!  He goes to A&M and is staying in College Station this summer to work instead of going back to Flower Mound.
So I surprised Aaron, who was literally walking on the beach in Destin, Florida when I called, by putting Matt on the phone.  Cool cool.

Then I got to spend some quality time with just my brother-in-law Jason (who has been around my family since I was 4).  He has always been a life mentor for me, being there through every stage and step.  We got to catch up on what has been going on in our lives, so that was a big blessing since I wont see him much this summer.

After that the family went to Chick-fil-a, but Jason had to stay home because both little boys are sick.. and then my niece Helen started feeling bad while we were eating.  Uh oh.

I got to spend some time with (the trio) Tyler and my other really good friend Alex after dinner.  I've known him my whole life too, from Sonshine school and church.  We were good friends all the way through.  Alex just happens to be on the AFC South America summer mission Team, and will be staying in Porto Alegre for 10 days (I think with the Blumes and helping them move).  Such a crazy coincidence.  He is leaving for Peru next week and will be in Porto Alegre when I get there!  So I will see him right at the beginning of my trip.  Saying goodbye to them tonight was kind of weird.

To end the night, Sarah and I went to Jason and Angela's house one more time to play Nertz.  Awesome day, cool blessing.  Now its 2 AM and I need to finish packing, we leave in 8 hours.  This will be my last post for a wile.  There will rarely be internet on this trip.  Please keep our trip in your prayers.  For God to do cool things, and for us to be able to see them.  Night night.
